"I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you. And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules." Ezekiel 36:25-27
What a blessing, that the King of the universe would look upon us and have mercy and love toward us. We were undeserving and yet he willed to give us new life with new hearts, and hearts that would love him and seek him.
How blessed we are that despite our weaknesses he still cares for us. We’ve been not only given new hearts of flesh filled with the life of God but he has also put in us His Spirit. The Spirit by which we are able to call upon him as “Abba Father”. We who were once far off and strangers to the knowledge of God we’re made his family. And this reality comes to us in Messiah Yeshua, the Son of God who was lifted on a tree to draw men to himself.
Be encouraged friend, the God of all grace is near, you were made to know him and experience this new life, one of a new creation, with hearts no longer of stone and cold toward God and his knowledge, but of flesh to know and love your maker.
